Michelle Obama Brings it
"Going small is petty, it's unhealthy, and quite frankly, it's unpresidential"

Former First Lady Michelle Obama brought down the house with her speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Trump is small was the theme both Obamas brought. President Obama, who followed her, convulsed the crowd with laughter when he made a not-so-subtle joke at the expense of Trump about his obsession with crowd size.
It wasn’t so much the words as it was Obama’s hand gestures that removed any doubt as to what he was getting at. Oh, snap. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt afterwards.
One thing I have learned from the Harris/Walz campaign, and this convention, is that the Biden administration made the mistake of focusing on the threat to democracy Trump poses. That is true, especially with Project 25 out there for all to see, but it inflated him like a scary balloon at the Thanksgiving Day parade.
Michelle Obama showed that Trump, and indeed his followers, are petty, small, and vindictive. She highlighted that “his limited and narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hardworking, highly educated, successful people who happened to be Black.”
I know I cannot even begin to understand what it is like to live with the abuse and hatred directed at the Obamas for so many years. The strong, competent woman standing there at that podium has been forged into steel by her upbringing, her life in resisting prejudice against her, and her accomplishments. I felt like someone should have come out and put an Olympic gold medal around her neck for rising to unimaginable heights in the face of those who would bring her and her husband low.
But then Michelle Obama then delivered the zinger of the night.
“I wanna know, I wanna know: Who's going to tell him that the job he's currently seeking might just be one of those "Black jobs"?”
Well, it is, isn’t it? The Obamas are living proof of that.
We are so blessed as a nation to have such people in our public life.
And you know the assignment now.
Get out there and “do something!” to elect Harris/Walz.
Me too, clearly. It's the laughter and the zingers that have got me going. Susan
I laughed and clapped and celebrated. The Obamas are national treasures.
